Today my darling had her day off, it was still very cold but dry and sunny. So we used the afternoon and walked to the prehistoric museum. A large number of mammals have lived in the river landscape of the Neckar, Murr and Bottwar for around 500,000 years.
We live here on a sediment hill, from which gravel has been mined since the year 1900 and from which interesting finds of all kinds of mammals have been found again and again....

Friday March 17th was Museum Day. It went to Hochdorf an der Enz, a district of Eberdingen am Hohenasperg. The summit of the Hohenasperg was inhabited as early as the Neolithic Age, from 600 BC by the Celts. On Thursday, February 9th, 2023, I finally managed to visit the Norman exhibition at the Reiss-Engelhorn Museum, Arsenal in Mannheim. After all, time is running out, the exhibition only runs until February 24th.
For those who are not so well versed in medieval history, the exhibition would certainly have been worthwhile. There were exhibits from relatively cramped quarters of 500 years of Norse life and there was also plenty of text...
