On Thursday, February 9th, 2023, I finally managed to visit the Norman exhibition at the Reiss-Engelhorn Museum, Arsenal in Mannheim. After all, time is running out, the exhibition only runs until February 24th.
For those who are not so well versed in medieval history, the exhibition would certainly have been worthwhile. There were exhibits from relatively cramped quarters of 500 years of Norse life and there was also plenty of text...
E: Today we are visiting the town of Löwenstein. Unfortunately my leg isn't working properly yet, so we left a few gaps. What we definitely missed was Löwenstein Castle and all the sights in the other parts of the city, as well as a visit to a restaurant in Löwenstein.

Day 1, Sunday, June 19, 2022, arrival
The journey was relatively easy, no traffic jams, sometimes a bit slow-moving traffic due to construction sites. We kept our planned travel time of 10 hours with breaks almost to the minute. The shock came when I refueled. At home, the price of petrol was around €1.90, in Austria on the Autobahn almost €2.40. I thought the Austrians were crazy... I had to be taught better on the way home at a German...
On Sunday, we arrived in Jesolo, got our key and then drove to our apartment. For two people big enough, a bit worn but mostly clean. Anyway, we do not want to live here, but sleep, cook and eat as needed. Right in the house is a pizzeria, in which we ate good Penne Amatriciana. The evening ends with a glass of red wine.
